Selbstentwicklungprogramm: Small Steps to Writing for Beginners

Yogyakarta (11/05/2024) - German Student Association's work program returned with a seminar themed "Small Steps to Writing for Beginners." The seminar took place in the second-floor seminar room of the WS. Rendra Building, Faculty of Language and Cultural Arts, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta.

Dr. Akbar Kuntardi Setiawan, S.Pd., M.Hum., familiarly known as Pak Iwan, was the main speaker at the event. He is a lecturer from the German Language Education Program at UNY with extensive experience in academic writing. The seminar was moderated by Pretty, who skillfully guided the event and maintained interaction between the speaker and participants.

During the seminar session, Pak Iwan presented the material on academic writing clearly and in detail. He discussed various techniques and basic steps in writing specifically aimed at beginners. The seminar was not only theoretical but also interactive; participants were invited to try writing directly to practice their skills.

The three-hour event was attended by dozens of students from various departments. The main goal of the seminar was to train students' writing abilities so that they are better prepared to handle academic assignments and write well and correctly.

With high enthusiasm and spirit, the seminar was a great success, providing new knowledge and motivation for the participants. It is hoped that similar activities can continue to be held to support the development of students' skills in writing and other fields.

The seminar "Small Steps to Writing for Beginners" ended with a warm and interactive question-and-answer session. Participants had the opportunity to delve deeper into the topics presented and receive practical advice from Pak Iwan regarding the challenges they face in writing.

As a closing note, Pak Iwan delivered an inspirational message to keep practicing and not be afraid to try new things in writing. He emphasized that writing is a process that requires patience and dedication, but with consistent small steps, anyone can become a good writer.
