YOGYAKARTA (20/12/2022) - PPG Dalam Jabatan program is an educational program organized with the aim of preparing individuals who have graduated from Education and Non-Education Bachelor's degree programs, with potential and interest to become teachers, so that they can develop teacher competencies in accordance with the Teacher Education Standards.

PPG Dalam Jabatan is expected to overcome educational challenges such as substandard qualifications and lack of competence in teachers. In addition, in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0, teachers are expected to have the ability to organize innovative and interesting learning, which integrates critical thinking and problem-solving skills, communication and collaboration skills, creativity and innovation, information and communication technology literacy, contextual learning skills, and information and media literacy.

PPG Dalam Jabatan program has been planned in a structured manner and applies quality standards throughout the process, starting from the selection stage, learning, evaluation, to competency testing. The goal is to create a generation of professional teachers, capable of producing graduates who are superior, competitive, moral, and have a love for the country. In addition, this program also aims to respond to various educational problems faced by Indonesia today. PPG Dalam Jabatan is also designed to equip prospective teachers with problem-solving, critical thinking, and creative skills through the application of problem- and project-based learning models.

The goal of this program is to produce educators who are professional, have devotion to God Almighty, have good morals, are knowledgeable, adaptable, creative, innovative, and competitive, with the main responsibility of educating, teaching, guiding, directing, training, assessing, and evaluating students.

The Department of German Language Education has once again conducted the Second Wave of the In-Service Teacher Professional Education Program (PPG) in 2022. The registration and selection process for the Second Wave of PPG at UNY has been open from August 26th to September 26th, 2022, and orientation began on December 5th, 2022. A total of 26 participants who passed the registration and selection process are attending the German Language PPG program lectures for the second wave starting from December 12th, 2022. These PPG participants come from several provinces across Indonesia, including Sumatra, Java, Sulawesi, Maluku, and Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT). (Astri)
