YOGYAKARTA (24/07/2022) - DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst) Indonesian alumni held a reunion with RWTH Aachen University alumni on July 22, 2022 at Tentrem Hotel Yogyakarta. The alumni reunion was attended by alumni members from all countries who had received DAAD scholarships. The reunion was also attended by the German Embassy in Jakarta.

In addition to the reunion event, DAAD Indonesia also organized a presentation session on various scholarship programs, with the main focus on DAAD alumni. RWTH Aachen University, which also participated in the event, gave a presentation on the importance of the role of alumni in building networks and introduced the RWTH Alumni Club.

In this reunion event, the DAAD asked student representatives from the Department of German Language Education to fill the event. Meira Pratiwi (2021), Suhaila Aimana (2020), Rindi Oktavia (2020) and Firyal Marita Pratiwi (2020) were the students who represented in this activity along with Iben, an alumni from German Language Education. They performed a musicalization entitled "Neue Liebe Neues Lieben". The poem was accompanied by violin and guitar played by Firyal and Iben. Neue Liebe Neues Lieben tells the story of Goethe's desire to escape from his lover. 

"The opportunity to attend and present at the DAAD reunion event is a very meaningful opportunity because I can gain new knowledge, relationships and insight into the activities of DAAD," said Meira. (Astri)
